Breast Cancer Awareness - October 2009
Bevan Wilson Physiotherapy will be taking part in a day to promote awareness in breast cancer as part of this national campaign.
Julie Drummond, the proprietor of Sheer Delight, a specialist lingerie shop in Godalming currently provides a personalised service for ladies following breast surgery. Her new venture is her “pink room” giving ladies the opportunity to relax and chat whilst being offered an expert fitting. Julie will be launching this , and anyone will be welcome to drop in for nibbles and a chat.
Lisa Bevan will be available on the day to discuss the physical problems associated with breast surgery, that commonly leads to shoulder stiffness and neck pain. Lisa and Camilla have a special interest in treating women with these symptoms, and many women are unaware that they can be helped with specific physiotherapeutic techniques.
Julie and Lisa are hoping that they will have more professionals involved on the day to provide advice, and more information will be available nearer the time.
Brilliant Physio (and excellent listener!)
