Rehabilitation Division
Rehabilitation is ‘The restoration of function within the limitations of illness or injury’
Most of us require rehabilitation of one sort or another during our lives.
Even everyday tasks require the coordination of complex movements, balance and the full use of our limbs. Having an injury or illness that prevents us from moving normally can be frustrating or upsetting and can limit our independence and enjoyment of life.
Within the Rehabilitation division we have both specialist neurological and orthopaedic Physiotherapists, enabling us to provide the appropriately skilled practitioner for your individual needs.
As rehabilitation specialists, our Physiotherapists are aware of the importance of movement to your quality of life and how even the smallest improvement (or in some circumstances, maintenance) can make a massive difference to you, your family and friends.
Following a full assessment, a treatment plan will be developed to help you achieve your maximum potential.
When appropriate the patient, family, carer(s) and any members of the multi-disciplinary team are involved with achievable goal setting.
Rehabilitation involves problem-solving, advice and education; exercise to improve strength, mobility, coordination and balance and adaptations or specialist equipment to improve function, independence and quality of life.
Our rehabilitation physiotherapists are flexible, adaptable and dynamic. They work as a team to ensure seamless rehabilitation, as frequently as required, in the most suitable environment for you (home, clinic, gym).
They are 100% committed to ensuring that you maximise your potential.
You helped me gain full mobility after a stroke. Thankyou!
