Georgina Mclean
Georgie is a passionate respiratory physiotherapist who believes that management of symptoms is key to improving a person’s quality of life.
Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University Georgie has worked at the Royal Surrey County Hospital completing her rotations and subsequently specialising in respiratory physiotherapy.
Georgie has a long history with Bevan Wilson having been involved in the mentorship scheme, for aspiring physiotherapists, where she spent nine-months during her A-levels, shadowing the physiotherapists within the team.
Working as a senior respiratory physiotherapist Georgie has treated patients not only in outpatient clinics but also in the acute hospital setting. She has therefore developed a range of different skills and treatments for various respiratory conditions. Her particular interest lies in airway clearance management techniques.
Georgie is a keen horse rider and spending time outdoors, riding her horse and walking her dog. She has a keen interest in health and lifestyle and therefore is passionate about helping people to improve their symptoms, manage their long term conditions and therefore benefit from an improved quality of life.
More recently, during the COVID-19 Pandemic Georgie has been involved in the management and rehabilitation of long covid symptoms, with a specialty in treating breathing pattern disorders. As it is such a complex syndrome, a holistic approach is key, focusing on goal setting and symptom management.
