Waqaar Salim

Waqaar Salim BSc HCPC MCSP

Waqaar is a vastly experienced Chartered Physiotherapist whose career has spanned two continents over more than twenty-five years.

He is available at our Guildford Boxgrove (GU1), Charterhouse Club, Godalming (GU7) and Hurst Farm Surgery, Milford (GU8) Clinics with daytime, evening and weekend appointments available.

Waqaar strongly believes that Physiotherapy is both an art and a science and recognizes that only the combination of both will provide optimal outcomes for his patients. His passion is in helping people navigate their way through recovery, utilising a combination of clinical expertise, evidence-based treatments and being able to connect with his patients.

He was educated as a Physiotherapist at Nottingham University and started his career working for the NHS in Norfolk, progressing to a senior level within Musculoskeletal out-patients.

Following this excellent NHS grounding Waqaar then fulfilled his ambition of working in the USA. During his time in the US he worked exclusively in private practice, taking on both clinical administration and leadership roles, whilst continuing to work and develop his skills as a practitioner.

Wishing to further develop and challenge himself, he completed an two-year Orthopaedic residency which re-energised and focused his clinical practice. He also completed his transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy shortly thereafter.

Since returning to the UK in 2017, Waqaar has continued working in private practice, becoming re-accustomed to the needs of his UK patients and further developing his expertise. He has a particular interest in Sports injury management, patient education and Spinal care and prior to joining Bevan Wilson he was working as an FCP physiotherapist (GP-level) for a group of GP Practices.

Waqaar brings his extensive clinical skill set of post-injury rehab to his practice and relishes working with many populations including professional athletes, weekend warriors and those who just want to return to good health.

Waqaar has recently moved to the local area with his family and is enjoying everything that Surrey has to offer!
